My Mother Margaret Murphy recently passed, and her choice was to have a simple cremation with minimum fuss. The Family did not want to use the usual choice of Funeral Directors in the Inverness area as we felt they were a bit too expensive. Instead, I contacted Kevin Bruce Funeral Services and I am so glad I did.

I spoke with Kevin shortly before my Mother passed and he assured me that he could provide the service the Family required and gave a fair fixed price and to call them when needed. A week later during the night I had to make that call at 4.00 am. An hour later he and his colleague arrived at the house fully prepared, immaculately dressed and very respectful. Shortly after, the Family were told when the Cremation would take place and we discussed options around the ashes. A week later we were informed that my Mother had been cremated and, that they would retain her ashes until such time as we wanted them delivered. Just today the ashes were delivered in a vessel of our choice, and these will be
scattered later.

This is the first time I have had to arrange a Funeral for a loved one and my experience was stress free knowing that all arrangements were handled in a respectful and professional manner. Kevin in my opinion has realised that not everyone wants an elaborate Funeral package and by providing his Direct Cremation option it by no means diminishes the act of saying goodbye. I would have no hesitation in recommending his services as simple can be respectful and comforting to those left behind.
